Every Sunday, I’ll be pulling tarot cards for the week ahead; the following Sunday, I’ll be back to look at whether the tarot weekly forecast held true: a tarot accuracy check. Just as a note: the weekly tarot forecast is personal, but I am sharing it publicly with the aim of accountability and checking on accuracy. If you’d like to get your own weekly tarot forecast, you can purchase one here or if you’d like a longer timeframe, opt for a month, or even a year.
Tarot Accuracy: Checking Last Week’s Forecast
Where it started: I had quit my job with my last day at the end of April, although last week I realised I have more leave than I thought, so if that leave is approved then my last day will be around the 21st. This means I have a matter of weeks before I’m fully reliant on income I’m still building. I have several projects in motion and the financial pressure is real. So for this week I had chosen three topics to focus on: my job, my side projects, and my finances. Here are the forecasts I had last week, and what happened: how accurate was I?
My Job
Cards pulled: III Cups, Ace of Cups
Quite an interesting tarot forecast about a job that I am leaving: the III of Cups is about celebration, a positive environment, even a promotion. Group work and collaboration is going better, and the office is very supportive.
The Ace of Cups shows new beginnings: this could be in terms of better work relationships between you and your colleagues, perhaps new projects, new challenges, feeling inspired, a moment to take on new responsibilities. It could be a new job.
What happened
I have to admit I was very confused by this forecast talking about promotions and new jobs when I’m leaving work. But on Monday a recruiter spoke to me on LinkedIn about a job offer which would be a step up from where I am now – a promotion. It didn’t work out, but it’s interesting that that part of the forecast came true. In terms of office environment, it’s been a mix: I have been supported in some ways, and not in others, but on the whole I’d say it’s been positive over all.
Tarot Accuracy: ✔️ Very Accurate
My Side Projects
Cards pulled: Queen of Pentacles, The World
The Queen of Pentacles is about successful business planning, achieving goals, precautions, and support. She is about independence and wisdom. She brings career success through practicality and being organised. She could be the appearance of a mentor, colleague or business partner who will give advice and help you accomplish your goals.
The World symbolizes success, achievement, and completion. The efforts being put in are starting to pay off. A major milestone has been completed. There’s time to celebrate what’s been earned. You can start thinking about the next steps soon, but for now enjoy the success of right now.
What happened
A bit of a mixed bag here: very productive from Monday to Friday, then struggling to keep up the momentum on Saturday and Sunday. I am making an effort to be more organised by using Trello, but I haven’t had a mentor show up. As far as major milestones go, I did make some significant progress this week, getting out of the habit of focusing on easier tasks that give smaller gains and instead working on more difficult tasks that will be more successful in the long run. There were some things that had been pending for months and I finally got them done. So I will go with…
Tarot Accuracy: ✔️ Accurate
My Financial Situation
Cards pulled: The Empress Rx, King of Wands
In reverse, The Empress signifies feeling instability around finances, even if the situation is actually okay. It can also signify excessive spending or a lack of financial planning.
The King of Wands shows that you can save money when required but also like to spend on others. Be careful with what you spend on and what you invest in. The card points to financial success through entrepreneurial matters.
What happened
I have been working about money this week, which I suppose is normal considering that I won’t have a steady income as of next month. However I am not doing any financial planning. I have been saving a bit. I haven’t spend on anyone else and I’ve been careful. I think there are a couple of things here that are accurate but on the whole it’s not really there.
Tarot Accuracy: ✖️ Mostly Inaccurate
The Quintessence
Finally, the hidden influence for the week: the Quintessence: XIII Death (To learn about Quintessence and how to calculate it click here).
As the quintessence card, Death shows that the week will signify the end of a cycle and the beginning of a new one. It’s about transformation and rebirth, getting rid of whatever no longer benefits oneself and instead embracing the change.
What happened
Plenty of change this week, and transformation too. There was a lot of that at work, but I won’t get into it. Let’s just say that karma is working. And one last thing: I know that the Death card doesn’t mean actual death, but my cat died this week at the age of 18. He had been sick for over a year with kidney disease, so this was not unexpected, but still devastating.
Tarot Accuracy: ✔️ Very Accurate
Next Week’s Forecast
So going into the week, I’m facing some difficulty at work, a bit of manipulation. I’m still feeling sad about the death of my cat as he would constantly be near me, and follow me around. I’m going to focus on these three things for Week 17 2026 (13-19th April): my job, my side projects, anything else I need to know. Check back next week to see how I fared.
My Job

Cards pulled: VI of Cups Rx, Page of Pentacles, King of Wands Rx
There’s a lot to do this week but it doesn’t seem like there’s enough time to get it all done. You will be leaving the comfort and stability of your job, but be careful of manipulative leadership as you go.
My Side Projects

Cards pulled: Ace of Cups Rx, III of Cups, The Fool Rx
There is reason for celebration here: something involving community and group settings, like a wedding. But there is lots of emotional instability, pain, loss, and creative block. Be careful of being gullible or reckless. Don’t get taken advantage of. It’s important to plan for the future: don’t just live in the moment.
Anything Else I Need to Know

Cards pulled: The Lovers Rx, II of Cups, II of Swords Rx
There’s an imbalance in a relationship (or relationships), and you will step back from any such relationships that no longer benefit you. There is also fairness, balance, and sharing within relationships. There is blossoming love, but also indecision: there is a decision under pression where there doesn’t seem to be a correct choice, instead it’s like choosing the best of two bad outcomes. You may be avoiding difficult questions.
The Quintessence
Finally, the hidden influence for the week: the Quintessence: XIII Death Rx – very interesting considering last week was XIII Death, but upright. (To learn about Quintessence and how to calculate it click here).
As the quintessence card, Death in reverse signifies holding on to something that is already dead. There is refusal to accept the end of a cycle.
Let’s check back next week to see my tarot accuracy. Have a good one!
